Puck Fair: August 10th - 12th
One of Ireland’s oldest and most unique festivals, Puck Fair is a three-day extravaganza that celebrates our town’s agricultural heritage. The highlight of the festival is the crowning of a wild mountain goat as “King Puck,” a tradition that dates back centuries. But Puck Fair is much more than just a coronation. It’s a time for horse and cattle fairs, lively street markets, traditional music sessions, and plenty of craic. At J.D. Falvey’s, we’re the perfect spot to soak up the festive atmosphere and enjoy a pint or two with friends.
K-Fest: June Bank Holiday Weekend
K-Fest is a multi-day music and arts festival that takes place over the June Bank Holiday weekend. With a diverse lineup of local and national talent, K-Fest offers something for everyone, from traditional Irish music to contemporary rock. You’ll also find art exhibitions, workshops, and family-friendly activities throughout the town. J.D. Falvey’s is a proud sponsor of K-Fest and often hosts intimate gigs and after-parties, providing a relaxed and welcoming space for musicians and festival-goers to unwind.
Biddy's Day: February 1st
Biddy’s Day (St. Brigid’s Day) is a traditional Irish festival that marks the beginning of spring. In Killorglin, we celebrate by making St. Brigid’s crosses, intricate woven designs believed to bring protection and good fortune. We also enjoy traditional foods and drinks, and the spirit of renewal and hope fills the air. At J.D. Falvey’s, we decorate the pub with St. Brigid’s crosses and offer a special menu of seasonal dishes and drinks to celebrate the occasion.
Cromane Seafest: September 13th - 15th
Cromane Seafest is a celebration of our coastal heritage, showcasing the freshest seafood, boat races, live music, and children’s entertainment. This lively festival takes place in the charming village of Cromane, just a short drive from Killorglin.
